- Samuel L's character in The Spirit. 1/2 watching now. mostly distracting by Tumblr. all style, no substance. that's my review so far.

I'm re-watching The Spirit. I remember being disappointed the first time, but can't recall if the movie was actually any good.

Irvin Yalom is a genius! I highly recommend picking up one of his books, whether your are interested in psychotherapy or not.

zacmilam:

"A sense of life meaning ensues but cannot be deliberately pursued: life meaning is always a derivative phenomenon that materializes when we have transcended ourselves, when we have forgotten ourselves and become absorbed in someone (or something) outside ourselves." — Irvin D. Under The Table: The Use of Hallucinogenic Drugs in Psychotherapy:

It didn't format well, but this is my first ever research paper and thought I'd post it on here because its very interesting!

Some of the world's best discoveries were merely stumbled upon by accident such as penicillin and the microwave; two things society takes for granted every day. If…

Dozens of G20 charges dropped (Blog TO):

Posted by Robyn Urback / AUGUST 23, 2010

Several dozen charges were dropped today as over 300 people appeared in court to face G20-related charges.

Individuals who had their charges dropped, including Christopher Miller who was arrested for or writing "Shame on You" outside police headquarters on June 29, were not required to admit any guilt. Probably would've taken too long to run through everyone anyhow.

Charges were withdrawn for some in exchange for a charity donation. Others are required to return to court at a later date.

Crown Attorney Vince Paris said charges were withdrawn as part of a "diversion" process.

I've posted this video before, but I like Nerve Scanner's take on the whole thing…

Cee-Lo's

At the end of last week, we left the internets behind as a new pop tune began playing in the background. We didn't want to get infatuated with it and become glued to our desks all weekend, so we turned it off halfway through its opening bars.

That track was Cee-Lo's "Fuck You," a charming, classic soul song that's available on YouTube only. Despite its profane lyrics, the Gnarls Barkley member's song is an obvious smash hit, with over 1.25 million hits since Pitchfork and other music blogs mentioned it on Thursday and Friday. But how will it sell, since it is basically impossible to edit around all the "f-words"?

We predict its October 4th release on Cee-Lo's upcoming studio album will be moved up and the single will go to #1 on iTunes and, ultimately, Billboard. It would be the first #1 to have virtually no radio play in America, and that can only be a good thing for a dying format bogged down by FCC regulations.
